How many spaces can I submit?

We have established our virtual room services based on single rooms. A single room is a space that serves one function & falls within: small (200sqft), medium (400sqft) or large (600sqft). One purchase equals one room. For open concept spaces like living room / dining room combinations, you will have to make two separate purchases for each room.

How long does it take?

We’ve streamlined our framework to deliver a beautifully designed room in 4 to 8 weeks. This does not include ordering and delivering of furniture. Work starts on your project as soon as we have all the information needed to begin the design such as photos, inspiration pictures, measurements (guide will be provided) and payment. If you don't submit your details when requested, we can no longer guarantee this timeline.

How far in advance should I book with you?

We typically schedule 2–4 weeks out. It’s best to reach out as soon as you're in the planning phase so we can check our availability and get you booked in.

How many design options will I receive? How many revisions are included?

Each virtual room design package begins with a personalized design direction to establish the tone and overall aesthetic of your space. You'll receive an initial vision or style board to ensure we're aligned, followed by two carefully curated moodboards and up to two rounds of revisions to refine the look and feel. Once you've selected your preferred direction, we’ll create your final design package—complete with a customized furniture layout guide, finalized style board along with styling tips, and a shoppable list of furnishings and décor tailored to your budget and space. Will I have designer support?

Yes! Each package includes key virtual touchpoints to connect with Niki from start to finish. 
Need extra help during implementation? Our Design Consultations offer flexible support—book us as little or as often as you need to ensure everything comes together beautifully.  

What payment types do you accept?

Once you're ready to move forward and book your package, we'll send over an invoice. Payments can be made securely via PayPal or Interac e-transfer.

What geographical areas does Wish Decor Studio serve?

Our virtual design services and packages are currently available to clients across Canada and the USA. All product recommendations are tailored to your location and sourced from retailers that ship within North America.

All in-person design and full service design packages are available to clients in and around the greater Montreal area.

Design & Concept Creation

Can I pick a design style / Do you design in a specific style?

Absolutely. We believe our clients are at the heart of every project. Rather than working within a single signature style, we design around your vision—drawing from your preferences, inspiration, and lifestyle. Our role is to refine and elevate your ideas into a cohesive, thoughtful space that feels distinctly your own.

Where do you source furniture? Do you do any custom furniture?

Each package includes a curated shopping list featuring thoughtfully selected pieces from a variety of trusted retailers, including IKEA, Wayfair, CB2, Article, Urban Barn, West Elm, Pottery Barn, and more. Every item is chosen with care to align with your design vision, meet quality standards, and stay within your budget.

If you’d like access to trade-only vendors, we’d be happy to provide options for you through either our Full Service design offerings or our in-person design services, The Essentials Edit or The Design Refresh packages.  A retainer is required, and this service is billed hourly. We can coordinate installation at the end of the project for an additional fee if you are local to the Montreal area.

Do you handle product ordering and installation?

Our virtual services do not include ordering or installation of retail items.

How much should I budget for furniture?

We will ask for your budget range and work within it by picking retailers that are compatible with both your style and investment comfort level.  You can refer to our Furniture Budget Planner page for a breakdown of what to expect when budgeting for essential pieces based on each room type.

When we start working together, we will review your design goals with you and discuss if they are in line with your budget expectations. We also often suggest multiple options with different price points on selected items.

Can you work with my existing furniture?

Absolutely! Provide us with images and measurements of the existing furniture that you wish to keep and we can incorporate them into your design. We will find the best way to work these items into your newly designed space. If you are planning on keeping a lot of your current furniture and are looking to add a couple of new items items to "refresh your room" then we suggest our Design Refresh Package.

Do you offer trade pricing on retail items?

At this time, we do not extend trade pricing on retail items for virtual clients, as our service does not include managing orders and deliveries.

Can you recommend a contractor or trade professional?

Our virtual design services do not include project management or coordination of subcontractors available with our Full Service Design. However, if we have a trusted local trade resource, we’d be happy to share their contact details. You will be responsible for requesting quotes and hiring them directly. Any contractors or trades we can recommend are in no way affiliated with Wish Decor.

Do you offer 3D renderings?

No, our virtual design services do not come with 3D modeling. We provide realistic, inspirational moodboards with the actual furniture pieces that will be in your room so that you can easily see how everything will flow together.

3D modeling is available upon request for our larger full service furnishing and renovation projects.

Do you suggest paint colors?

Absolutely! We provide color combo ideas for all our Virtual Room or Apartment Design Packages. Specific paint color recommendations can be added à la carte starting at $150.00 per room.  We’ll suggest a shade that complements and elevates your space beautifully. Just one pro tip before you commit: always test the color on a small section of your wall first. Lighting can significantly affect how a paint color reads in your space.

What if I just need help with finishing touches?

We are here to help! Our Design Consultation Services are perfect for smaller projects, or if you need answers to specific design questions.  

Need assistance in selecting and arranging the right accessories or smaller decor items and accent furnishings to enhance the overall ambiance and create a sense of completeness?  Finishing Touch Services can be added à la carte.

What if I want to decorate my whole house?

If you have an entire home you would like to decorate at once, we would be happy to create a custom quote for you.

Refunds & Cancellations

What if I don't like the design?

We take a collaborative approach to design! The process begins with a concept presentation where we discuss the overall direction of your space. From there, we refine the design based on your feedback. Two rounds of revisions are always included to ensure everything aligns with your vision. If you require further revisions for whatever reason, we can continue to refine your design at an hourly fee of $150.00/hr. So much time and care is put into each custom design therefore, all design fees are non-refundable and can not be cancelled once the design process has begun.
